Kicking-off the 2020 Arivaca Film Exhibition, Arivaca’s leading entertainer - Banjo Bob will

be presenting “The Cranky History of the World” with his rotating ‘projecto-box’ reminisent

of the early days of “motion pictures”. Bob’s highly entertaining performance can only be

found in Arivaca!

‘The Good Oak’ Synopsis: A soaring love letter to Arizona, this music-centric short film takes you on a journey from the barren outskirts to the snow-capped Northern Mountains to the bustling metropolis of the valley. Trace the path life takes to perpetually transform our desert into a thriving oasis. "The Good Oak" is titled after the Basque phrase which inspired the name "Arizona." This film was created exclusively for The Arivaca Film Exhibition.
“Sin Verguenza” synopsis: As the debate on immigration reform continues in the United States, Carlos, an undocumented immigrant and Emilio, a wounded drug runner, discuss the legitimacy of their actions somewhere in the hot Arizona desert. This film sheds light on what some choose to do in order to survive. Filmmakers David ‘Dagene’ Valdez is a producer, director and cinematographer from Tucson, Arizona
Young Alice is left in the care of a reclusive neighbor for the morning, as her parents lock horns over their crumbling marriage. She hatches a plan to brighten everyone's outlook, but the risks may outweigh the rewards.
A founding partner of Limitrophe Films, Director Josh Kasselman cut his teeth at NYU. After directing theatre at such venues as David Mamet's Atlantic in New York and the Hudson in Los Angeles, Kasselman began his work as a filmmaker, writing and directing three narrative shorts. Recent screening highlights include Cineglobe Geneva, Hollyshorts, Oaxaca Filmfest, the American Documentary Film Festival, Uppsala International (Sweden), Wimbledon International Short Film Festival, Sedona International, and the Phoenix Film Festival – where Limitrophe won Best Arizona Short two years in a row and Kasselman and Lucas were co-recipients of the Arizona Filmmaker of the Year award. In addition to his work as a filmmaker, Josh is Gold ADDY-winning commercial director.
In his new doc-u-film - “Simple Living” - Hinton Harrison travels the road with his wonderful pup Pee Wee and introduces us to fascinating people who are making a difference in our world. They are the rich in spirit and unknown heroes and Hinton documents them with an artistic flair of important people and ideas in our society that often go unnoticed and unsung. Independent Filmmaker Hinton Harrison born in Virginia Beach , Virginia. He has pursued his passion for filmmaking since his childhood experience in a small town theater in Waverly Virginia. His Grand Mother took him to see Charlie Chaplin in his film the Circus. He was captivated by the magic of this light streaming from a hole in the wall project on the screen that inspired his visual imagination to this day. For over the past forty years Hinton Harrison has been a Performing Artist from a mime on the streets, stage, circus, night clubs and acting in television and film for more information and History Google Hinton Harrison. Hinton Harrison is the Host of Life Styles of the Poor And Unknown aired on Aspen Grassroots Community Public Television. His new Documentary is an on the road version of the Life Styles of the Poor and Unknown.
